Give your sujihiki or slicer a distinctive finishing touch with a full-wood replacement handle from Tokushu Knife Malta. This collection brings together six individual handles, each measuring 152 mm in length and priced at €59. Choose from Full Ebony, Full Rosewood, two separate Amboyna with Contrast handles, and two separate Full Cypress handles.

Every photograph represents a different handle. The two Amboyna options and the two Cypress options are listed individually, so you can choose the grain and colour combination you prefer. There is one of each photographed handle available; select the corresponding variant to choose that individual piece. Each purchase is for one handle only, with no blade included.

Choose your individual handle

• Full Ebony — Photo 1: Deep, dark tones with contrasting brown streaks running along the handle. The lengthwise grain gives this piece a restrained appearance while still revealing plenty of natural detail when viewed closely.
• Full Rosewood — Photo 2: Warm golden-brown and amber tones with an intricate, swirling pattern. This individual piece has a richly figured appearance, making it a striking choice for anyone who enjoys visible movement and detail in wood grain.
• Amboyna with Contrast No. 1 — Photo 3: Rich reddish-brown figuring with prominent pale, contrasting areas along one side. The meeting of light and dark tones gives this particular handle a bold, distinctive appearance.
• Amboyna with Contrast No. 2 — Photo 4: A separate Amboyna handle with its own reddish-brown pattern and a smaller, clearly defined pale contrast area near the top in the photograph. Choose this option for the specific arrangement shown in Photo 4.
• Full Cypress No. 1 — Photo 5: Honey and golden tones with pronounced flowing lines and darker clusters of figure. The grain sweeps along the length of this handle, creating a lively pattern with strong visual definition.
• Full Cypress No. 2 — Photo 6: A separate Cypress handle with lighter golden tones, flowing grain and numerous small, darker details. Its pattern differs clearly from No. 1, giving you another individual interpretation of the same wood choice.

Fitting and compatibility

Handle length is only one part of choosing a suitable replacement. Compatibility also depends on your blade's tang, the handle opening and the overall fit required. These handles should not be assumed to fit every sujihiki or slicer without adjustment. Have the fit assessed before installation, particularly if you are replacing an existing handle or planning a custom knife project.

If you are unsure which option suits your knife, contact Tokushu Knife Malta with your knife model and relevant measurements before ordering. An experienced handle fitter can assess any preparation or adjustment needed for your particular blade. Do not force a handle onto a tang that does not fit.

Caring for your wooden handle

Clean gently by hand and dry promptly. Avoid soaking, dishwashers, prolonged damp storage and direct heat. Use any wood-care product only if it is appropriate for the handle's existing finish, and follow its instructions. Natural grain and colour can appear different under changing light and on different screens; use the photograph assigned to your selected variant as your visual reference.
