The Hatsukokoro Ryuhyo SG2 Damascus Migaki Bunka 180mm combines a thin, agile profile with premium SG2 powdered stainless steel and a bright polished Damascus finish. The bunka shape offers a useful flat section for clean push cuts and a precise k-tip for detail work, making this a versatile choice for vegetables, herbs, boneless proteins and everyday prep.
SG2, also known as R2, is valued for its fine grain, excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance. The layered stainless Damascus cladding gives each blade a flowing pattern, while the migaki polish keeps the presentation clean and refined.
Handle Options
- Cypress & Buffalo Horn: Premium aromatic cypress wa handle with a natural buffalo-horn ferrule.
- Rosewood & Ebony: Warm rosewood wa handle with a dark ebony ferrule.
- Blade Only: Supplied without a handle for a custom fitting. The blade must be fitted with a compatible handle before use.

A bunka delivers the everyday versatility of a santoku with a sharper k-tip. Its flatter edge is excellent for chopping and push cutting, while the pointed tip adds control for trimming, scoring and fine slicing.
Care
Hand wash only and dry immediately after use. Do not place the knife in a dishwasher or use it on bones, frozen food, glass, stone or other hard surfaces. Use a knife-friendly cutting board and avoid twisting the blade in dense ingredients.

Orders delivered within the European Union are shipped from within the EU, so no import duties are normally due upon delivery. For supported destinations outside the EU, when duties or taxes apply, we use Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) services so the applicable charges are handled in advance.
