Nigara STRIX Gyuto with Mono Ebony & Horn Handle
Flowing Damascus lines and a bright tsuchime finish give this Nigara gyuto its distinctive appearance. Made in Japan by Nigara Hamono, it pairs a STRIX powdered stainless-steel core with stainless Damascus cladding and a dark mono ebony and horn wa handle.
This is the 240mm model with a measured cutting-edge length of 225mm. Its 55mm blade height provides generous knuckle clearance, while the gently curved edge and fine tip suit everyday vegetable preparation, slicing and detailed work with boneless meat and fish.
The octagonal ebony handle and horn ferrule create a clean, understated profile that complements the blade's hammered texture and layered Damascus pattern. At a measured 200g, the complete knife offers a substantial yet manageable feel.
