Nigara STRIX Gyuto with Custom Wa Handle
Flowing Damascus lines and a bright hammered finish give this Nigara STRIX Gyuto its distinctive character. Made by Nigara Hamono in Hirosaki, Japan, it combines a STRIX powdered stainless-steel core with stainless Damascus cladding and a versatile double-bevel gyuto profile for everyday kitchen preparation.
This is the 210mm size class, with a measured cutting-edge length of 195mm. The fine tip is useful for precise work, while the gently curved edge suits slicing, push cuts and controlled rocking through vegetables, herbs and boneless meat or fish.
Choose Your Handle
- Prisma Aurora: A vivid custom wa handle with ribbons of red, yellow, blue and green, paired with a translucent, swirling ferrule. The main knife shown in the first six photographs.
- Amboyna Contrast & Horn: Figured Amboyna wood with contrasting light and dark tones and a horn ferrule.
- Cypress & Horn: Warm, richly figured cypress wood paired with a pale horn ferrule.
- Ebony & Horn: Dark ebony with subtle contrasting grain and a pale horn ferrule.
- Blade Only: The unhandled blade for your own handle project. No handle or fitting is included.
Each fitted handle option is individually photographed. Select a handle to view its matching photographs; the blade-only photographs show the unhandled configuration.
