Overview
The Takeshi Saji VG-10 Gold Damascus Petty 90 mm with Cow Bone Western Handle is a compact handmade Japanese utility knife from Echizen, Japan. Its VG-10 stainless-steel core is wrapped in Saji-san’s distinctive gold-toned Damascus cladding, creating a vivid pattern across the blade while keeping everyday maintenance straightforward.
The agile 90 mm petty profile is ideal for peeling, trimming, garnishing, in-hand work, and precise preparation of small fruit, vegetables, herbs, and boneless proteins. At just 98 g, with a 27 mm blade height and 190 mm overall length, it offers excellent control in a remarkably compact format. A polished cow-bone Western handle with metal bolster and twin pins completes the knife with the sculptural finish for which Takeshi Saji is known. Natural colour and figuring in the handle make this individual knife unique.
