First-hand workshop knowledge
Tokushu Knife founder Anthony Maciejewski visited Dao Vua’s forge, workshop, handle woodworker and production team in October 2023. That first-hand experience informs how we select the range and help customers choose the right profile.
What to expect
These are workshop-made carbon-steel knives. Small variations in finish, dimensions and natural handle grain can occur. 52100 is reactive rather than stainless: it can develop a patina and may rust if moisture or food residue remains on the blade.
- Hand-wash and dry immediately after use.
- Never use a dishwasher or leave the knife soaking.
- Avoid frozen food, hard bones, prying and twisting the edge.
- For longer storage, apply a very light coat of food-safe protective oil to a clean, dry blade.
