Overview
The Hatsukokoro Ryuhyo SG2 Black Damascus Gyuto 210mm is a lightweight, refined Japanese chef knife built for versatile everyday prep. Its 210mm blade gives you the reach for slicing proteins and larger produce while remaining agile for vegetables, herbs and fine detail work.
A premium SG2 / R2 powdered stainless-steel core provides excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance. The flowing stainless Damascus cladding is finished with a dramatic dark etch, while the slim geometry and fine distal taper support smooth, low-resistance cutting. An octagonal walnut wa handle with a black ferrule completes the understated black-and-brown presentation.

The gyuto is Japan’s answer to the Western chef knife. Its versatile edge profile handles slicing, push cutting and controlled rocking, making it an excellent primary knife for meat, fish, vegetables and general kitchen prep.
Care
Hand wash only and dry immediately after use. Do not place the knife in a dishwasher or use it on bones, frozen food, hard pits, glass, stone or other hard surfaces. Use a knife-friendly cutting board and avoid twisting or prying. Normal use may gradually create character and wear in the dark Damascus finish.
