Cypress Wood with Horn Handle – 116 mm
Give your Japanese kitchen knife a distinctive natural finish with a richly figured cypress wood handle and a pale horn ferrule. Golden, honey-brown and deeper chocolate tones run through this selection, with flowing lines, rippled grain and dark eye-like markings that give each piece its own character. The faceted wa-style profile brings out the contrast between the wood and horn.
Choose your exact handle. Handle 1–4 follow the photographs in order. Each option represents the individual piece pictured, with one of each handle available. Every handle measures 116 mm overall and is sold separately at €69.

Choosing a 116 mm handle
The 116 mm overall length offers a compact handle option. Compare it with your current handle and preferred grip, and consider the knife's proportions and balance before choosing.
Length alone does not confirm compatibility. The knife's tang must suit the handle opening and internal insertion depth. Tang length, height and thickness, as well as handle width and weight, all matter. Opening dimensions, internal depth, external width and weight have not been specified for this batch, so fit for a particular knife model cannot be guaranteed from these photographs.
Fitting advice
These handles are intended for compatible wa-style knife construction, where the tang fits inside the handle. They are not direct replacements for Western handles made from two riveted scales. Professional fitting is recommended: the opening may need careful adjustment and an appropriate mounting method for the particular blade. Do not force a tang into the handle.
Contact Tokushu Knife Malta with your knife's brand, model and blade length for help choosing. If the tang is already exposed, include its measurements and a clear photograph so the fit can be assessed before installation.
Care
- Clean gently by hand and dry promptly, especially around the ferrule and blade junction once fitted.
- Do not soak or put the handle in a dishwasher.
- Avoid prolonged heat, harsh cleaning chemicals and abrasive cleaners.
- Before applying oil, wax or another conditioner, check that it is compatible with the existing wood and horn finish.
- Store in a dry place and avoid leaving the handle standing in water.
