First-hand workshop knowledge

Tokushu Knife founder Anthony Maciejewski visited Dao Vua’s forge, workshop, handle woodworker and production team in October 2023. That first-hand experience informs how we select the range and help customers choose the right profile.

What to expect

These are workshop-made carbon-steel knives. Small variations in finish, dimensions and natural handle grain can occur. 52100 is reactive rather than stainless: it can develop a patina and may rust if moisture or food residue remains on the blade.

  • Hand-wash and dry immediately after use.
  • Never use a dishwasher or leave the knife soaking.
  • Avoid frozen food, hard bones, prying and twisting the edge.
  • For longer storage, apply a very light coat of food-safe protective oil to a clean, dry blade.

Choose your Dao Vua knife

Use the individual product page as the source for exact specifications and availability. If you are choosing between profiles, contact Tokushu Knife Malta and tell us what you cook, your available board space and the knife you currently use. Professional sharpening is available through our Malta workshop.
